What Iphone Has the Biggest Screen

The what iphone has the biggest screen answer depends on whether you mean the current lineup or all iPhones ever made. As of the latest recent lineup, the iPhone 16 Pro Max has the biggest screen at 6.9 inches. If you are comparing older models or want the largest display among recently sold iPhones, the Pro Max line is usually the one to check first.

Which iPhone has the biggest screen right now?

If you are asking which iphone has the biggest screen in the current lineup, the answer is the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a 6.9-inch display. That is the largest screen size Apple offers in its mainstream iPhone lineup at this time.

Apple’s naming can make this a little confusing. The Pro Max model is not just a more premium version of the standard iPhone, it is also the largest by screen size. The Plus models are large too, but they are typically a bit smaller than the Pro Max.

Biggest iPhone screens in the current lineup

Here is a quick comparison of the largest recent iPhone models by screen size.

For most buyers, the important takeaway is simple: if you want the largest screen available in a new iPhone, look at the newest Pro Max model.

Pro Max vs Plus screen size

People often compare Pro Max and Plus because both are the bigger options in the iPhone range. The difference is straightforward:

• Pro Max usually has the biggest screen Apple sells.
• Plus models are large, but generally slightly smaller than the Pro Max.
• Pro Max phones usually include more advanced camera and display features, not just a larger screen.

If your only goal is screen size, the Pro Max is usually the better answer. If you want a larger display without paying for the highest-end iPhone tier, a Plus model can still be a strong choice.

What is the biggest iPhone ever made?

If you mean the biggest screen among all iPhones ever released, the answer depends on the generation. Apple has gradually increased screen sizes over time, and the largest models have generally been the Pro Max versions in recent years.

For modern iPhones, the largest display has moved from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches with the latest Pro Max model. Older “Max” or “Plus” models usually top out at 6.7 inches, so they are large, but not the largest anymore.

If you are shopping used or comparing generations, always check the exact model name. A phone called “Max” is not automatically the same size as the newest “Pro Max.”

How Apple measures screen size

Apple measures screen size diagonally, from one corner of the display to the opposite corner. That means a bigger number does not always tell the full story about how the phone feels in your hand.

Two important things to keep in mind:

• Screen size is measured diagonally, not by width or height alone.
• Overall phone size also depends on bezels, body shape, and thickness.

This is why one iPhone can have a slightly larger screen but still feel similar in size to another model. The display measurement is useful, but it is not the only factor that affects usability.

How to check an iPhone’s screen size

If you want to verify the display size of a specific iPhone model, the safest method is to check Apple’s official specifications for that exact model. The model name matters because Apple has used similar names across multiple generations.

Here is a simple way to confirm it:

1. Find the exact iPhone model name, such as iPhone 16 Pro Max or iPhone 15 Plus.
2. Look up the official Apple specifications for that model.
3. Check the display section for the screen size listed in inches.
4. Compare it with other models if you are deciding between sizes.

This matters because a phone’s marketing name can be easy to confuse, especially when comparing Pro, Plus, and Pro Max versions across different years.

Quick answer for buyers

If you want the shortest possible answer, here it is: the iPhone 16 Pro Max has the biggest screen in the current iPhone lineup, at 6.9 inches. If you are comparing slightly older phones, many large iPhones, including recent Pro Max and Plus models, use 6.7-inch displays.

So the best choice depends on what you mean by “biggest”:

• Current largest iPhone: iPhone 16 Pro Max
• Largest recent non-Pro option: iPhone 16 Plus
• Largest older premium model: recent Pro Max models, usually 6.7 inches before the newest generation

If screen size is your top priority, start with the newest Pro Max. If you want a large screen but do not need the top-end features, a Plus model may be enough.
